Public Notice: Conclusion of Second Saturday/Small Town Sunday Business Incubator.

After careful consideration, due to my upcoming project schedule for Fall 2024-2025, I have made the difficult decision to bring the Second Saturday & Small Town Sunday program to an end. Since 2020, we've spotlighted over 593 small businesses while promoting community engagement and economic development.

Thanks to the partnership between the City of Talladega and our organization, we have supported hundreds of small businesses, increased tourism, and strengthened our community.

While it is unfortunate to conclude an initiative that has supported hundreds of small businesses and contributed to our community’s economic development, we recognize that many of the services provided by our program overlap with those already offered by the Chamber for Talladega, Lincoln, & Munford, and Talladega Main Street.

I drafted a letter to City Manager Swanson and the Talladega City Council thanking them for all their support and respectfully suggested that the $20,000 previously allocated to our program be reallocated to the Talladega City School System, where it could have a lasting and meaningful impact by fostering entrepreneurship and leadership in future generations.

I've had extensive discussions with the Talladega City Schools Superintendant Dr. Quentin J Lee and I will be redirecting my time to helping the Talladega City School System as well as local non-profits throughout the community.
