The travel seed was planted in her at age 10 during a Royal Caribbean cruise that exposed her to Mexico, Haiti, Cayman Islands, and Jamaica. However, it wasn't until 2014 that she obtained her first adult passport. For years, Jai thought that travel was too expensive or that she couldn't do anything because she didn't have anyone to go with. She realized that many people delay travel due to cost o
r waiting on friends who never commit. That's why she launched We Be Trippin Travel Group (formerly "The 500 Club"). In 2016, a friend and Jai scored three trips to Mexico, Cayman Islands, and Puerto Rico for under $500 per person. This discovery led her to believe that great travel experiences didn't have to cost a fortune, and she began seeking out travel deals with a mission to show the world that you can make those travel dreams a reality. As she started sharing her experiences with others, they became interested in joining her on her adventures. In 2017, Jai took the lead with her marketing and design skills, coordinating and hosting budget-friendly culturally immersive group trips that transformed We Be Trippin' into the vibrant movement it is today. Through her decade-long journey of self-discovery, Jai discovered that her passion lies at the intersection of travel, fun, creativity, and making people happy. She wove these elements into a career that not only sparks joy but also pays the bills. After taking a hiatus to focus on starting a family in 2019 and navigating the challenges of the pandemic, Jai is back with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
