I don’t think I’ll ever recover from this dolphin encounter right off the beach! 🫣🐬

Believe it or not, being so close to a dolphin scares me way more than being so close to a shark. These marine mammals are so intelligent and it was so cool to hear them use their echolocation to get a good look at me as they swam over.

Especially since the visibility in the Gulf isn’t the greatest, this moment was genuinely terrifying but now it’s so cool to look back on 🧜🏼‍♀️🌊🩵☀️🐬

New core memory unlocked: family shark tagging trip with Coastal Marine Education and Research Academy 🦈✨

Going out on a Shark Scientist Discovery trip was the BEST way to celebrate shark week and the perfect end of summer adventure before my little brother and mom head back to school! Getting to capture photos and videos of everyone getting out of their comfort zone and contributing to real shark conservation was so special.

Hands-on experiences like this help to breakdown people’s fear of sharks and teach the importance of protecting them for the health of our coastal ecosystems!

AHAHA Sorry for being so immature but I’m still laughing over this find from last nights lowtide beach walk!

Agatized coral is Florida’s state stone and finding pieces of it on the beach is always exciting, even more so when it’s shaped like a butt 😂🍑✨

I think I’ll make this piece into a necklace or something!

This is your sign to go to a Tampa Bay Rowdies game in St. Pete, we had SO MUCH FUN! ⚽️🌭

My family and littlest brother’s soccer team were at the game to celebrate their season and I think their cheering totally helped us win!!

Early bird gets the worm or the legless lizard! 😂🦎🐍

When I saw this snake struggling to get across the road while I was driving, I knew I had to pull over to help but to my surprise it was NOT a snake! Meet the glass lizard, a snake mimic that can be found throughout Florida and apparently in my parent’s backyard!!!

While these guys look and move like snakes they are in fact lizards and here are some ways you can tell! Legless lizards still have a tail that can be distinguished from their body AND broken off as a distraction for predators. They also have eye lids and external eardrums unlike their true snake relatives, so interesting!

🦈 Shark Week with Coastal Marine Education and Research Academy has been nothing short of amazing! While the rainy weather makes capturing content a little harder, it sure does get the sharks moving!

Getting to be involved in real shark and ray research right here in Tampa Bay is so special and such a good reminder of the incredible wildlife that shares our coast.
