Counting down to our Flight Line summer program!! 🚁🚁
If you haven’t heard, “Flight Line” is a hands-on and engaging three-day course geared towards highschool-aged students interested in learning about helicopter aviation as a career path. One unique aspect (and a favorite of many) is the presence of two medevac helicopters at Flight Line. These helicopters are AW139’s, impressive and agile aircraft’s used for life-saving transports from the emergency field, as well as to-and-from health facilities and hospitals. The pilots will be in the area completing training with the Taneytown Fire Department, as well as visiting with the students at Flight Line and showcasing the aircrafts themselves. The students will be immersed in a hands-on learning experience with the medevac aircrafts, and will gain the opportunity to really explore and discover all that these life-saving helicopters have to offer. Moreover, our students will have the valuable chance to speak with the pilots themselves, and will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn from some of the most trained and experienced pilots in the industry. This is truly an incredible opportunity for any young person interested in learning more about the diverse career paths for helicopter pilots.
