A swallow is precision. Flying figure eights around me, one takes bugs on the fly, never missing a beat. Smooth rapid flight sorties, altered just a little as it rises to its snack. There is an audible snap when it hits its quarry. Then it makes six laps around me, scores four flying insects, then soars overhead with a chirp, kind of a victory roll on its way to a tree limb.

New review from yesterday's tour: “I highly recommend this tour! It’s reasonable—actually, insanely cheap—relaxed, and very much worth your time. I know quite a bit about the area, having vacationed here many times. But I didn’t know most of the stories that Sam had to tell. He also took me into several different galleries and introduced me to artwork that was beautiful and fascinating. He also showed me his own artwork—delightful! He recommended several museums and restaurants. The history of Taos is rich, and also quite eclectic. Sam knows the inside workings, both past and present, and I really enjoyed my time with him. Thank you, Sam!”

Sam was an excellent tour guide! He was knowledgeable and also funny/tactful when sharing provocative information. If we had not taken the tour, we would not have known much of the history of Taos. Definitely would recommend to others.
