In Chimayó, New Mexico, "el pocito" refers to a small room within El Santuario de Chimayo, a historic church and important pilgrimage site.
In Spanish, "pocito" means "little well". This room contains a small, circular pit in the floor filled with earth, also known as the "holy dirt" or "tierra bendita". 😇

At first light, we paddle the Rio Grande, gliding between ancient basalt walls where the river’s song speaks of time and spirit.

A chef-curated lunch and wine pairing await at Vivác Winery, a serene pause amidst sunlit vineyards.
