Planting mangroves and coast line cleanup with Mangroves are not only our first line of defense against storm surge but also a nursery to over 200 species of animals in Florida alone! If we don’t start caring about them Florida will not be the Florida you came to live in or visit! Please get out and volunteer!

Are you familiar with the fact that mangroves occasionally bloom with flowers for a short duration? This black mangrove displays small clusters of white flowers and has salt crystals on its leaves due to the process of desalination.
