This Saturday, the City of Taylor and Friends of the Moody Museum will unveil a bronze statue honoring Governor Dan Moody, one of Taylor’s most influential historical figures!
Born and raised right here in Taylor, Moody went on to serve as the 30th Governor of Texas from 1927 to 1931, championing government reform and education. This new monument honors a hometown hero whose political legacy shaped the entire Lone Star State.
