Last month, we celebrated the birthday of our Founder, Dr. Greene. This month, we are delighted to invite you to join us in celebrating a very special milestone—the 80th birthday of his son, David, Director of The Gospel Hour, who will turn 80 on March 9!

David has devoted his entire life to the ministry. As a young man, he fondly remembers traveling with his father to tent revival meetings, where he witnessed firsthand the power of the Gospel, reaching hearts and transforming lives. After his father’s passing, David stepped into service, faithfully assisting his mother as she carried forward her and Dr. Greene’s vision to continue the ministry and to reach the lost with the Gospel.

Since her passing, David has continued that legacy with dedication and faith, serving as Director and honoring the calling placed upon his family. For nearly 50 years, he has faithfully carried on the work his father began even before he was born.

We are deeply grateful that David answered the call. Through his faithful leadership, countless lives have been touched, souls have been saved, and the message of the Gospel has continued to reach far and wide.

Today, we give thanks and celebrate not only a birthday, but a lifetime of service. May God richly bless David, you, our faithful listeners and supporters, who make this work possible, and the staff of The Gospel Hour as together we rejoice in all that the good Lord Jesus has done—and continues to do through this ministry. To God be the glory!

Happy Valentine's Day and Happy Birthday, Dr. Greene, from TGHI — On February 14, 1915, Mrs. J. D. Greene received a real live Valentine — her sixth child, Oliver Boyce Greene. We remember Dr. Greene on his birthday and, in his memory, share with you today the verses in the Bible that he always included with his signature when signing an autograph. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10: 9, 10. How do you say goodbye to someone who has been such an important part of The Gospel Hour ministry? As a staff and ministry, we are trying to answer that question as we remember and honor Glenda Johnson, who passed away on October 9, 2025. We invite you to join us in praying for her family and for this ministry, as she will truly be missed.

Atomic Statement by Dr. Greene: We need an old-fashioned “Amazing Grace,” “How Firm a Foundation,” “Blest Be the Tie That Binds” Revival. Get some of these supposed-to-be Christians to forgive each other and start praying for one another instead of hating each other.
