🚨Disney Reveals First Look at The Wetlands Coming to Disney Lakeshore Lodge in 2027

Disney just shared a first look at The Wetlands, the new recreation area coming to Disney Lakeshore Lodge when the resort opens in summer 2027!

Located along the shores of Bay Lake, The Wetlands will feature multiple areas designed for both adventure and relaxation, including:

🦩 Heron Shores – an imaginative play area with climbing features
🦦 Otter Springs – an interactive splash zone for little ones
🌊 Daydream River – a relaxing lazy river winding through the resort
🏖️ Lakeside Lagoon – a zero-entry feature pool with a waterslide
🎆 Perspective Pond – a leisure pool and whirlpool spa with views of Magic Kingdom fireworks

Disney also revealed that the recreation area will include subtle inspiration from Pocahontas, drawing from the iconic lyrics, “the heron and the otter are my friends,” from Colors of the Wind.
