The Secrets Papagayo Resort is in Guanacaste Province on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. The resort is beautifully landscaped and birds and other wildlife make themselves at home there. The resort is spread out with most buildings just consisting of two bungalows. There are two pool areas, the main pool located in the middle of the resort with shops, restaurants, bars and the activities desk is the center of action. The relaxation pool located at one end of the report features the Spa, restaurant and bar. It is quiet and never very crowded. The restaurants include Italian, Asian and grilled seafood selections. There is also a buffet that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Because the resort is spread out there are shuttles that you can request to pick you up and get you anywhere in the resort. Unless you are into walking hills, I would recommend the shuttle. The onsite activities included kayaking, snorkeling, hiking, and pickle ball. There was a different show every night at 8:30 and usually ends around 9:00PM. The resort winds down around 10:00 which was perfect for us! Next time we will look at what to do while visiting Costa Rica.
