Day 1 Oaxaca Mexico. I’m blown away by this city;however I may be blinded by all the Christmas lights and festivities. We took the redeye and arrived early morning. Had a driver pick us up and take us to our super cute boutique hotel Hotel Parador de Alcalá. Our rooms were not ready as expected, so we did an early morning explore of the city. We checked out plaza Santa Domingo and Zocalo. Poinsettias and Christmas decorations everywhere. Every street has different theme Christmas lights. We grabbed lunch and then our rooms were ready and time for some rest and napping.

I thought Guanajuato was a party city, but Oaxaca gives them a run for their money. We experienced a baptism, wedding, and a quince. Oaxaca is know for their mole and food. (Culinary capital of Mexico) so we explored one of the many rooftop bars and then hit dinner and the mole did not disappoint. We ended the night back at Zocalo and watched it come to life with music, lights and family fun. This city is so charming!

Adios Barbados! Still enroute home to Lax with an overnight in Miami! Got a little pool time yesterday and one last lunch before our shuttle to the airport! Barbados is such a beautiful place and the people are so nice! That water is probably one of the most spectacular colors I’ve ever seen and the beach Sandals Resorts was amazing! Thank you Danielle Burnett Bdm for inviting our agency and Shannon Bonadurer and Troy Bonadurer Destinations To Travel for giving me the opportunity to attend! I learned so much about Sandals during my visit!

Day 4 and our last full day here at Sandals Resorts Barbados! The day started with breakfast at the buffet, then a taxi ride into Bridgetown to checkout the town. Did a little shopping and walked around. Then back to the resort for some ice cream and a little pool time! Then off to the spa for an amazing massage. Then to freshen up before our final dinner at Butch’s which was fantastic! One of 2 restaurants that require reservations otherwise they are all first come first serve. Then alwe said our goodbyes to the agents that were leaving early in the morning. The rest of us have an afternoon flight so we grabbed a cocktail with our new agent friends!

Day 3 was all about R&R. Started the day with eggs benedict at the French restaurant then off to the beach to put my toes in the sand and feet in the water! Then lounged in the pool most of the day. Grabbed some lunch and just chilled the rest of the afternoon. Before dinner I went down to the beach to grab some sunset photos and there was a bunch of commotion so I went to check it out! Baby sea turtles had hatched and were making their way to the water! It was the highlight of my day and cool! Then off to dinner! Tonight it was Dinner at Portofinos! Perfect day!!

Sandals Barbados day 2! Started the day with an iced latte from the donut shop then breakfast at the buffet. Then off to training and resort tour. Then lunch at the Jerk Shack, a donut and a little shopping in the store for a Christmas ornament. Then back to the room to rest and freshen up for dinner. dinner was at the seafood restaurant consistent of smoked fish dip, lobster tail and coconut cream pie. Then off to bowling alley to catch a glimpse of silent disco and then up to sky terrace for an espresso martini and nighttime views. The resort is so peaceful and serene and the grounds are so beautiful. Tomorrow is a full free day and I plan to hit the beach and pools!!

What a day but I made it! Arrived at 3pm, cleared customs and made our way to . Arrived to a cold cloth and champagne. Checked into our rooms, freshened up and then headed to a special cocktail party hosted by Sandals executive team. Then off to dinner at Soy for some delicious sushi! Did you know this is actually 2 resort Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados! There are over 21 restaurants on both properties and you can use all the facilities of both resorts!

Day 8 was a Rest and relaxation day! Started the day with coffee from the cove. The baristas here are amazing and can pretty much make anything. Then off the ship to castaway Cay, Disneys private Island. Headed to serenity bay which is the adult only side of the island. We rented floats and just floated in the Caribbean all day long! Then back to the ship to the adult only infinity pool to watch us sailing away from the pool. Then time to freshen up for Aladdin. Amazing show!! Then some pre dinner drinks. The last night dinner was at 1923 Walt’s Restaurant. This one is a more upscale Hollywood vibe and probably the best food of the 3 dining rooms. Then back to room to pack up and set our bags out 🙁 others went to Luna to silent disco but we were zonked! Tomorrow flight back home and back to reality.
