We need donations. We have only received $8000 in donations in THIRTEEN YEARS! I don’t know how other rescues do it…we offer so many services to fund the ranch because we hardly get any donations in. And we still can’t keep our doors open much longer.

My horse rescue needs help.

I just don’t understand these rescues that are bringing in millions per year. My rescue has only had $7000 in DONATIONS in THE LAST 3 years. I am so thankful to everyone who has donated in the past and do not wish to hurt previous donors feelings. $7000 in 3 years is devastating. That’s not even enough to cover one month of hay. I have been the main donor for the past 12 years. I just can’t do it anymore.

We need to raise a minimum of $18000 in the next 20 days or we will be forced to shut our doors. $2000 vet bills, $8000 overdue on previous loads of hay, $8000 on current load of hay.

I have been behind on my mortgage by more than 6 months twice and have two hard money loans on my property where I house the rescues.

I have liquidated my investments to the point of being hit heavily on withdrawing from my Roth IRA…it’s practically gone and other accounts have been fully closed.

I cannot hang on for much longer. Where are all the volunteers? Before Covid, I had 10-15 per day. Now I’d be lucky to get 10 within 2 months. Where is the funding. I was told it would be so much easier once I became a non profit in 2021. It became $7000 easier.

Please do not suggest a gofundme. I have tried several of those (and even other people have tried setting them up for the ranch) and they were unsuccessful.

**Fire Update**

Thank you for all the calls and messages. As of right now the fire is moving away from us. You know from last year I don’t mess around so if your animals are at my ranch they are out first and we leave early. We are fine!

However, the below picture is from a friend of mine’s ranch. They have even more horses than me. So be ready to rally the troops. Last year my crew helped a lot of people and then people returned the favor and helped me when I was ordered to evacuate. Time to pay it forward again!! Be ready! If you are needed I will post on Facebook!

Prayers to everyone. Stay safe. Do what you are told by the authorities. If they say leave then leave. A WARNING means get your s**t and get out. An ORDER means leave immediately (you don’t have time to grab anything). Prep now. Leave early. DO NOT take up resources if you don’t need them. Now is not the time for attention wh**es. I’ve already seen posts from people who are nowhere near the fire and not in actual need. SELFISH! Do not panic or create panic!

WE ARE staying OPEN as we are actually part of the Govenor's essential businesses. Outdoor recreation is considered essential for mental and physical health. We will follow guidelines regarding sanitation of gear, social distancing, mask use etc.

TO MY PATRONS: the Riverside County Sheriffs Department supports us staying open, supports you going about your desired daily activities and will not arrest or fine you.

Use your common sense to protect yourself and your loved ones from this virus. Use your common sense to protect our economy and your personal finances.

As for me, I pray that I do not get the virus and that if I do, I will be strong enough to recover. I have a responsibility to my rescued horses and my volunteers. We barely financially survived the first Covid shutdown and will not survive another.
