I finally got into some suckers the other day. I fished all day, and it was great to be out. Both fish were caught on nightcrawlers. I’m hoping to get a few more before the season’s over.

Here’s a nice bowfin that Seany caught back in August. We hadn’t caught one in years, and Sean did a great job of fighting him and bringing him in. He was feisty, and a mouth full of sharp teeth greeted me as I pulled him up onto the dock. We took a couple of quick pictures and then released him. A good day done!

I’d just like to say thank you to everyone who has supported me in getting this thing off the ground. I’m still a ways from where I’d like to be; but, so far, this journey has been overwhelmingly rewarding.

Okay, I know it’s not a catfish, but here’s Michael with a nice bull moose that he shot up in Alaska last month. He put in a lot of time and energy preparing for this trip, and it looks like it definitely paid off. As you can see, he shot it with his handgun. Perhaps best of all, he brought home 270 pounds of moose meat. Congrats my friend!

Laura connected on some nice, little flatheads a few weeks ago. They were all released after these pictures were taken. After a slow start to the season, we put in a lot of time and were rewarded with some nice nights of fishing.

This made me the proudest dad in the world. Seany got up the nerve to hold a flathead. I’d been waiting a long time for this one.

Here’s a nice, scrappy, little flathead that I caught last month. He hit in the middle of the day on a perch rig tipped with a night crawler. I was stunned that I caught him on that. You just never know, right? CPR’d
