We also offer lodging upon request. Our quaint, two-bedroom, waterfront cottage as a rental to our clients. The cottage comfortably sleeps 6 people and is fully furnished within 20' of the ocean. We rent it by the night. All you need to bring is your food. We have easy access to lobsters for those who would enjoy eating them on the deck. Maine has hundreds of bridges, all of which must be inspected. The certified engineer divers who work with the Department of Transportation perform this task with nary a complaint about frigid rushing water in the wee hours of morning to catch a low tide. It’s the end of our season in snowy Midcoast Maine. What a time it has been! We completed annual lobster survey work with the excellent divers of the Department of Marine Resources. What a gorgeous day for a lighthouse tour! Nick and Sam had five “must see” photo destinations on their list. So off we went to our first stop - Matinicus Rock Lighthouse - about 30 miles from our dock. Success! Next was Two Bush Light, another 20 miles from Matinicus. Third stop was at Whitehead Light, beautiful sky. Southern Island Light shone when two sailboats timed their journey to appear right in our photo! Last destination was Franklin Island Lighthouse, another amazing sky photo. Nick and Sam have been in Maine for nearly four years while Nick is at dental school at UNE (University of New England) in Portland. They have photographed almost every one of the 65 lighthouses in Maine and we were thrilled to be part of their impressive adventure. Best wishes in your new career, Dr. Nick. We hope you and Sam return any time and can come fishing with us!

Aqua Diving Academy has wonderful divers! We had a great day in the waters near Monhegan Island with sightings of lion’s mane jellyfish, big lobsters, colorful starfish, northern red anemones, and nudibranchs. Some divers captured pictures of their day under the sea. And some divers got to swim with the seals! Stories and smiles were shared at each surface interval. There was even a reconnection of a high school student and teacher! Thank you, Levi! Truly a day to remember.
