if you're going to the Big Bend, always (always, always) carry at least twice as much water as you think you'll need...

In fact, we recommend that unless you've got special training in survival in the desert, you stay home until October, when the weather is more conducive to humans.

Due to the Coronavirus, Brewster County is closed. This is not hyperbole - if you don't have a Brewster County address on your drivers' license, the Sheriff's deputies will es**rt you to the border.

When you add in the ISIS camps just South of the border and the increased cartel activity along the border, it just makes sense to visit somewhere else, when the time comes for visiting.

Until the virus is under control, please stay home.
