The real holiday magic of Yuletide are two, not very well-kept secrets: the musicians of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and the community's love for this Holiday tradition. Neither could exist without the other. We are honored to be one of the groups going to see something so special in the hearts, ears and traditions of Indiana.

“We are thrilled to bring the iconic love story found in The Notebook to audiences across America,” said producers Kevin McCollum and Kurt Deutsch in a statement. “People fell in love with this story first as a novel, then as a much-revered film. And now they will be able to experience the heartfelt story of Allie and Noah live on stage, set to a moving and unforgettable score by the one and only Ingrid Michaelson with a book by Tony Award nominee Bekah Brunstetter.”

Featuring a book by Bekah Brunstetter and a score by Ingrid Michaelson, The Notebook follows Allie and Noah, who share a lifetime of love despite forces that threaten to pull them apart. The Broadway cast is led by Jordan Tyson as Younger Allie, Joy Woods as Middle Allie, and Tony winner Maryann Plunkett as Older Allie with John Cardoza as Younger Noah, Ryan Vasquez as Middle Noah, and Dorian Harewood as Older Noah.

This trip is a forever favorite … with a different name for 2024. The trip is wildly popular and garnered major social media love in 2024 that we had to bring it back for 2025. In the past it has been called Girlfriend Holiday but as our Professional Motorcoach Driver reminded me it is one of his favorite trips we offer. Gurnee Mills has it all… and then some. This shopper’s paradise is known far and wide for their combination of name brand outlet stores, high end retailers, and fun things to do for the family. This mega mall gives you over 200 stores, with everything from Nike Outlet to Macy’s and other popular stores like Forever 21 and 2nd & Charles. It’s easy to spend a day or two exploring all that Gurnee Mills has to offer. Eat at the Rainforest Café, visit the arcade or ice rink at Top Shelf Ice Arena, or see indoor ponds at Bass Pro Shop Outdoor World.

To truly experience the program and destination, you need to be able to participate in physical activities such as longer walking tours, walking over uneven terrain, climbing stairs, and periods of standing. Some of the touring days will be long and are fast paced.

Since this is an indepth tour encompassing 6 days and is a Pace 4, you are required to fill out a reservation form and meet with our Tour Director prior to signup. This is to ensure that you understand all the details of this tour including length of days and amount of walking.

This tour was designed in conjunction with our friends who specialize in National Park and Western US tours. This tour is limited to the first 23 travelers. We will travel in two sprinter vans instead of a motorcoach (same luxury … no bathroom). The elevation average is between 4,000 and 7,000 feet. To get the most value out of the design of this tour we will walk one-half to two miles during the course of each day.

This tour will offer a Travel Talk on Thursday, August 14, 2025. YOU MUST MAKE A RESERVATION! Travel Talk #1 is at 4 PM and is limited to the first 44 signups. Travel Talk #2 is at 6:30 PM and is limited to the first 44 signups. This is an informational Travel Talk for you to learn more and ask questions. Since this is an indepth tour encompassing 15 days and is a Pace 4, you are required to fill out a reservation form and meet with our Tour Director prior to signup. This is to ensure that you understand all the details of this tour including length of days and amount of walking. You will make an appointment after the Travel Talk to proceed with your tour reservation.

To get the most value out of the design of this tour we will walk two to four miles during the course of each day. Each day will incur long periods of standing as we listen to the guides at our tour sites.
