On this day in 1964, Natural Bridge Caverns—Texas’ largest known cavern—opened to the public. Located near New Braunfels, it features stunning underground formations, a natural limestone bridge, and a half-mile of trails reaching 260 feet below the surface.

Fun fact: The caverns stay a constant 70° year-round with 99% humidity!
