🌎 Let’s Talk Mexico Travel – In Simple Terms 🇲🇽
We completely understand that when you see headlines about Mexico, it can feel overwhelming. Your safety and peace of mind matter to us — always.
And for full transparency — we are porting in Mexico tomorrow as well. We would never send clients somewhere we wouldn’t feel comfortable traveling ourselves. I will be posting from Mexico!
But here’s something important to understand:
📍 Puerto Vallarta and Cancun are not near each other. Not even the same ocean.
Puerto Vallarta is on the Pacific Coast.
Cancun is on the Caribbean side of the country — over 1,200 miles away.
For reference:
That’s like comparing traveling to Los Angeles vs Miami. Same country. Very different location.
Because of this, most airlines and hotel suppliers are not issuing waivers for destinations that are not directly impacted.
What that means:
• If you choose to cancel outside of a supplier waiver, standard change or cancellation penalties may apply.
• New bookings would be subject to current pricing and availability.
• Pricing can increase quickly due to supply and demand.
⚠️ If your trip is next month or further out, there are currently no waivers in place, and there is nothing we are able to adjust at this time.
Please note:
If you decide to make changes, you must be prepared to move forward at that time. We are not able to hold “backup options” due to constant pricing and availability fluctuations.

• We monitor supplier updates daily
• We stay informed on official travel advisories
• We will communicate if anything directly impacts your destination
As always, the decision to travel is personal — but we want decisions to be made with accurate geographic information, not just headlines.
