I love crossing paths with YouTubers when we are on vacation!

I was SO excited to see Ordinary Adventures onboard the Disney Wonder during our recent cruise to Alaska!

I couldn’t wait to get home to watch their YouTube videos and to see the exact same vacation through another set of eyes and relive the whole experience!

I get this question a lot…

What is the best age to bring my child on a Disney Cruise?

In my personal opinion, the best age to bring a child on a Disney Cruise is 3 years old or whenever they are potty trained through 9 years old.

Kids of all ages will have an AMAZING time on a Disney Cruise but if you want to make the most of the “kids club” onboard, the best age is really 3-9 years old.

The last port on the itinerary is Ketchikan, Alaska.

We explored this town on foot. We started with delicious fish tacos and smoked salmon chowder at the Alaska Fish House. Then we tried the salmon donut from Jellyfish Donuts (it was just okay).

We walked down Creek Street, did some shopping, enjoyed another b**r flight and king crab before calling it a day!

Our day in Juneau, Alaska started out with another car rental. The owner delivered the car just a few steps away from the dock which was awesome!

This helped us get an early start to visiting Mendenhall Glacier and Nugget Falls before all of the tour buses arrived.

On our way back from visiting the National shrine of St. Therese we saw a bear with her 3 cubs along the side of the road.

For lunch we enjoyed king crab at , a flight of b**rs at the tasting room and delicious fish tacos from Highly recommend all 3!

Our day in Skagway, Alaska started with a stop for coffee at before picking up our rental car from Affordable Car Rental which was a short walk from the port.

We drove the Klondike Highway into Canada, stopping at various pull offs to take in the beautiful sights. We decided on renting a car verses taking the White Pass train because it allowed more flexibility and it was actually cheaper for our family of 5.

We drove all the way to Carcross where we ate lunch at the Bistro and picked up some delicious Maple Butter from

We then headed back to Skagway just in time to try ! Yum!

What is there to do on a Disney Alaskan cruise during a day at sea? 🤔

Cooking Demonstrations with 🍷, Silent Disco, Bingo, Character Drawing demonstrations, a ton of character meet & greets, educational talks about Alaska, 🐋 watching from our balcony, Napping 😴 to help adjust to the time change, etc!

Let’s not forget about the food & lots of🍦!

Meet Goldie!

She was the gold van that we rented through to cross the border into Canada.

We had 4 options for getting to Vancouver:
✈️ Fly directly into Vancouver
🚞 Take the Amtrak train
🚙 2- One way rental cars
🚙 Round trip rental car

Renting a round trip car was the most flexible and cheaper option for getting our family of 5 from the Seattle airport to the Vancouver port along with exploring Washington State before and after the cruise.

We parked Goldie at the Vancouver airport while we were on the cruise. We used the commuter train in Vancouver to get to and from the airport.
