ps and long trips. In those early days of Disney World we would “Do Disney or Die”! It was keep going even if you are tired, even if you are hungry, keep going! The vacation cost a lot of money and we had to get our money’s worth!! It wasn’t until my honeymoon that I realized Disney is so much more than rides. So much more than an itinerary where every item must be checked off. Steve and I would go every year, purchasing annual passes so we could make even more trips to our favorite place on Earth. Somewhere in the middle of all of that we did travel to Europe and Hawaii, expanding our horizons and learning a lot about travel along the way. Then we started our little family. Our daughter Cara came first and boy did she teach us a lot! It was then that we realized that we needed to slow down; that her schedule and her trip were really the only things that mattered. Slowing down made us realize that checking off all of the rides or shows wasn’t really experiencing what Disney truly has to offer. Disney isn’t just about doing, it’s about seeing, tasting, feeling and remembering those cherished moments. I discovered a Disney I have never seen before. It is still the same but now we live each moment & “do” what is important to us and our family. Being together, having an understanding that we will return and we don’t have to do every single thing to have a memorable trip. Remembering that my baby girl took her first steps to Eeyore and he wrote happy walking in her autograph book. Watching her eyes light up the first time she saw the “boom booms” at Epcot. Or standing at the train display at Epcot for an hour in the middle of the hot sun while my son, Alex, watched the train go around and around, studying its every move. Every picture tells our story. Every trip IS different. Somehow, even though we go to Disney and stay at the same places we have stayed before and eaten at the same restaurants we have eaten at before, it is somehow different. That is the Disney World I want to show my clients! That is the Disney I want MY clients to explore and make their own memories.
