A local World War II veteran is nearing his 102nd birthday and his family wants the community to share in the joy.

The Patriot Guard Riders will participate in a LEO-Led Rolling Honor Guard to Master Sergeant Graziano’s home to drop off birthday cards and wish him a Happy Birthday.

In January 1943, twenty-year-old Louis Graziano received a letter from Uncle Sam ordering him to report to Fort Niagara, New York, for a physical. Louis landed in the third wave on D-day on Omaha Beach and later participated in the Battle of the Bulge. He is the last known living veteran to have witnessed the historic surrender in France on 7 May 1945.
