🪕 A Southern California tradition returns to the Santa Monica Mountains 🎻🌿

Topanga Banjo Fiddle Contest and Folk Festival is back on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at King Gillette Ranch for a full day of live music, contests, workshops, jam sessions, food trucks, artisan vendors, and family-friendly activities.

What started in 1961 with just 30 contestants and 500 attendees has grown into one of the country’s longest-running folk festivals, celebrating bluegrass, old-time, folk, and Americana music for more than 60 years.

Festival goers are encouraged to bring instruments, blankets, and chairs and spend the day immersed in music, community, and tradition in the Santa Monica Mountains 🪕✨
