✈️ A Full Fall of Travel Ahead! 🌍

As I look ahead to this fall, I’m feeling incredibly grateful for some wonderful travel opportunities coming my way.

🇳🇴 September 9–19 | Norway with Holland America
I’m honored to have been invited on a Top Producer trip with Holland America. I’m especially excited to experience Norway and learn even more about Holland America firsthand.

🌴 October 7–12 | Dominican Republic
A girls getaway to the Dominican Republic ~ because sometimes travel gets to be about a little fun, too! ❤️

🚢 October 26–November 4 | Tauck River Cruise on the Rhine
I’ll be experiencing Tauck on a river cruise from Brussels, Belgium to Amsterdam — a wonderful opportunity to experience Tauck firsthand and learn more about river cruising.

One of the things I love about being a travel advisor is that travel is part of how I learn. Experiencing destinations, cruise lines, resorts and different styles of travel firsthand helps me answer your questions, make better recommendations and, most importantly, match you with a trip that truly fits you.

These opportunities are such a blessing to me and to my business, and I never take them for granted. ❤️

Every trip teaches me something new, and I love being able to bring those experiences and knowledge back home to my clients.

And, of course, I’ll be taking you along with me! ✈️🌍

🏔️ Is Alaska on your bucket list for 2027?

If Alaska is calling you, now is a great time to start planning!

Alaska is one of those destinations I recommend booking well in advance ~ especially if you have specific dates, cabin preferences, or an itinerary in mind.

And when it comes to Alaska, there’s more to consider than simply picking a cruise.

What time of year should you go?
Which itinerary and ports are right for you?
Glacier Bay or Hubbard Glacier?
Cruise only…or add a land adventure?

Even something as simple as which side of the ship you choose can be worth considering!

Those are all things I can help you sort through. ❤️ My job is to learn what you want from your Alaska experience and help you choose the cruise, itinerary, and timing that make the most sense for you.

Alaska truly is one of those destinations that can take your breath away. If 2027 might be your year, now is a great time to start the conversation!

FYI: these are my personal photos from August 2025; Alaska… Is absolutely stunning.

Ireland was absolutely beautiful… but THIS group made the trip. 🇮🇪❤️

I just have to take a moment to say thank you to this amazing group of people for trusting me with your Ireland adventure.

When you plan and es**rt a group, you hope everyone has a wonderful time, that things go smoothly, and that people enjoy traveling together. But this group was something special.

We laughed ~ a LOT. We rolled with the unexpected, enjoyed a few Irish pubs 🍻, took in some absolutely breathtaking scenery, made memories, and simply had FUN together.

Some of you have traveled with me before, and some of you trusted me for the very first time. I don’t take either one for granted. The fact that you choose Travel Getaways by Connie to help you see this beautiful world truly means more to me than you probably realize.

Thank you for your patience when our adventure started with a little hiccup, for your flexibility along the way, for all the laughs, and most of all, for just being such a GREAT group to travel with.

Ireland was amazing…but sharing it with all of YOU made it even better. ☘️

I came home with a very full heart and so many wonderful memories. Thank you, thank you, thank you for trusting me to be a small part of your adventures. ❤️

Until the next one… ✈️🌍

And just like that… our last day in Ireland. ☘️🇮🇪

I honestly can’t believe how quickly this trip has gone!

We spent part of our final day cruising along the River Shannon, just relaxing and taking in the beautiful Irish countryside one more time. Afterward, we made our way back to Dublin before heading to Howth for our final evening together at the Abbey Tavern.

What a fun way to end our trip! Great food, traditional Irish music, singing and dancing… and of course, lots of laughs with this group. ❤️

As I sit here thinking back over the last several days, I feel so incredibly thankful. We’ve seen some breathtaking places, experienced so much of Ireland, had sunshine, rain, more sunshine 😂, shared lots of laughs and made some wonderful memories together.

But for me, trips like this are always about more than the places we visit. It’s the people you share them with that make them so special.

I’m so thankful for this group and for each of them trusting me to bring them along on this adventure. I truly hope they loved Ireland as much as I did. ❤️

Ireland… you were beautiful, welcoming, full of character and definitely a trip I won’t soon forget. Until next time. ☘️

Today’s adventure took us by ferry across Galway Bay to Inishmore, the largest of the Aran Islands 🇮🇪

A truly beautiful and fascinating place, where Irish is still spoken and traditional fishing and farming life continues much as it has for generations.

A highlight for many was visiting Dún Aonghasa area perched on the cliffs above the Atlantic.

We then enjoyed a relaxed lunch in Kilronan, the island’s main village, followed by some time to explore before heading back across the bay.

Another unforgettable day in Ireland, filled with history, stunning scenery, and the joy of discovering new places ☘️🇮🇪

And sharing it with such a fun group made it even better ❤️

Another beautiful day in Ireland! 🇮🇪💚

We started our day by taking the ferry across the River Shannon and then made our way to the Cliffs of Moher. Oh my goodness… absolutely beautiful! Standing at the top of the cliffs, nearly 700 feet above the Atlantic, the views were just incredible.

And we definitely experienced a little bit of true Irish weather today… sunshine, a quick shower, and then sunshine again! ☀️🌧️☀️ Thankfully, it never lasted long and certainly didn’t take away from those amazing views.

Next up was such a fun experience—a traditional sheepdog demonstration. It was amazing to watch these highly skilled dogs work with the farmer to herd the sheep. They definitely know exactly what they’re doing! Of course, we couldn’t leave without enjoying some homemade scones and tea. ☕️

From there, we headed into Galway for a panoramic tour of the city.

And I have to say, this group has made this trip even more fun! There have been so many laughs, lots of joking around and just a really great group of people to share all of these experiences with. They have certainly kept me smiling! ❤️

So much beautiful scenery today, but I think what I continue to love most about Ireland is experiencing the traditions, the people and all those little moments along the way.

Another really special day in Ireland! 💚🇮🇪

🇮🇪 Today was one of those days in Ireland that I don’t think I’ll ever forget. ❤️

We spent the day exploring the Di**le Peninsula, and oh my goodness… absolutely stunning! The mountains, sandy beaches, rocky headlands and views along the coastline were simply breathtaking. Around every turn was another “wow” moment. Ireland certainly knows how to show off! ☘️

We visited the Blasket Centre, where we learned about the people who once lived on the remote Blasket Islands. They lived a very traditional way of life, spoke the Irish language, and remained on the islands until they were evacuated in 1953. Their stories, their resilience and the legacy they left behind were fascinating.

But on our way back to Killarney, we had an experience that I think touched all of us.

We stopped at Foley’s Bar & Restaurant, a local pub where we enjoyed a wonderful meal and traditional Irish music played by a local gentleman on his accordion. 🎶

Then one of the owners, whose family has been there for seven generations, shared a little piece of her heart with us.

She sang. She told stories. She danced. And she shared what her Irish heritage and traditions mean to her—and how important it is that she passes them along to her children, just as generations before her passed them down to her. (Will share a video separately)

It was emotional, genuine and so incredibly special. ❤️

These are the moments I love most about traveling. Yes, the scenery is beautiful and the places we visit are amazing…but having someone welcome you in and share a piece of their family, their culture and their heart with you?

That is something you remember. 🇮🇪☘️

What a beautiful day in Ireland.

🇮🇪 Ireland Days 3 & 4… so much history, beautiful scenery, and of course, a little Irish whiskey! ☘️

I’m combining a couple of days because we have been busy taking it all in!

Day 3 took us to the House of Waterford Crystal, where we were able to watch the incredibly talented artisans at work. Seeing the amount of skill and detail that goes into each piece definitely gives you a whole new appreciation for Waterford Crystal.

We also enjoyed a walking tour of Waterford, Ireland’s oldest city, learning a little more about its history and some of the colorful characters who helped shape it.

From there, we visited the Dunbrody Famine Ship, a replica of one of the ships that carried Irish emigrants to North America during the Great Famine in the 1840s. This one really makes you stop and think. Seeing the conditions they endured and hearing their stories was incredibly humbling.

Day 4 brought a little lighter history… Irish whiskey! 🥃 We toured the Midleton Distillery, home to Jameson, and learned about the history and craftsmanship behind Irish whiskey. And yes… there may have been a little tasting involved! 😉

Then it was on to Blarney Castle. No, I did NOT kiss the Blarney Stone 😂, but I loved exploring the beautiful grounds and gardens. We finished our visit with a wonderful lunch at a local pub~which is becoming one of my favorite parts of Ireland! 🍻

These days have been such a great mix of history, beautiful places, local experiences, and just enjoying Ireland along the way. 🇮🇪❤️
