Ohio Caverns in West Liberty, OH is definitely a Place Worth Going! Consistently 54 degrees underground, it's a tour you'll want to take! You'll want to factor in the entrance fee of approximately $25/person, so plan accordingly! And just as a heads up, the tour guide will momentarily turn off the lights in the caverns. It's quick, but can be a shock to certain visitors. Pack a lunch and make a day of it! We enjoyed purchasing a bag of "dirt" for our son to gem sluice while we were there. That was an added $7, but you could use one bag for 2-3 kids, there is plenty!

We’ve been to Ohio Caverns a few times now, but this was our first experience using the sluice.

It was fun and definitely worth it!

Ohio Caverns Gem Mining is a relatively low cost experience for visitors. Adding a $7 bag of mining rough and using the sluice to expose the gems and fossils you found is well worth it!

The Ohio Miami Valley is home to over 330 miles of paved multi-use recreational trails. That's mind blowing! 🤯

You know what else is incredible?!?

IT'S FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

If that doesn't motivate you to get out and explore, maybe you need to see a very small section of it in use?

We can do that for you! Check out our experience on a mere 5 miles stretch (10 mile ride) recently. Fair warning, it will make you want to pump up your bike tires and hit the trails! You can find the link for Miami Valley Trails in the comments!
