Located in Northwest Tennessee Reelfoot Lake was created by massive earthquakes in 1811-1812 is Tennessee's only large natural lake! Shallow, cypress filled waters is a natural fish hatchery with abundant crappie, blue gill, bass, catfish and more. On the Mississippi flyway with lots of migrating waterfowl for duck hunting, eagle and white pelican watching. Thank you to all our visitors who attended the Pelican Festival! Our next festival is the Eagle Festival February 5, 6, and 7, 2027. We are the Eagle Capital of Tennessee with over 90 nests in the area and numerous eagles migrate to Reelfoot during the cold winter months. Watch our website and page for more information for upcoming festival. Eagle tours are available in January and February with the State Park and Reelfoot National Wildlife Refuge.
