Disney Genie Launching Oct. 19 at Walt Disney World Resort: Create Your Best Disney Day
What a week! “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” at Walt Disney World Resort is in full swing, as we kicked off the 50th anniversary festivities on Oct. 1 with all-new experiences and countless magical moments.

Now, we’re gearing up for yet another milestone: We’re excited to share that the previously announced Disney Genie service will launch on Oct. 19 at Walt Disney World Resort! More info>>

Available for all of our guests right in the My Disney Experience app, the complimentary Disney Genie service offers new features that let guests create their best Disney day. These features include a personalized itinerary creator that effortlessly and smartly maps out an entire day inspired by the things guests tell us they love – helping them make the most of their park time so they can have more fun.

Similar to a navigation app on a phone, Disney Genie continues to update the guest’s itinerary from morning to night as the day changes, so they can stay spontaneous and go with the flow – whether guests need a nap, encounter an unexpected rain shower or want to take a detour for a Mickey ice cream bar.

Many of you have asked about how this cool new technology works. Behind the scenes, the app is capable of magically evaluating thousands of possible itineraries in seconds – so guests don’t even have to think about it! Disney Genie puts guests at the center of the experience by prioritizing ways to:

Reduce time in lines while keeping in mind guest’s top picks
Pace the day with experiences guests will enjoy – and haven’t already done yet
Build around existing plans like dining reservations and Park HopperÂź preferences
Disney Genie uses our 50+ years of knowledge and expertise in how guests visit our parks to make the experience better for everyone.

With this launch, we’ll also be introducing the Lightning Lane entrance. Available for purchase through our Disney Genie+ add-on at more than 40 attractions – or individually, “a la carte” at some of our most highly demanded attractions – the Lightning Lane entrance can save guests time waiting in line.

As a reminder, attractions continue to offer a traditional standby queue or from time to time, a virtual queue may instead be used at select attractions, like right now at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.

Our Guest Experience Team will also be available throughout all four theme parks to assist guests.

Important Health & Safety Update
We are adapting our health and safety guidelines based on guidance from health and government officials, and will require Cast Members and Guests ages 2 and up, to wear face coverings in all indoor locations at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort beginning Friday, July 30, regardless of vaccination status. At Walt Disney World Resort, this includes upon entering and throughout all attractions and in enclosed transportation vehicles, including shuttles, buses, monorails and at Disney Skyliner.

Well, as they say, all good things must come to an end 😔 We had an AMAZING time and Disney and absolutely can't wait until our next visit! If you haven't booked your next visit, what are you waiting for?!

Just an FYI, our flight is delayed and I will not be getting home until very late tonight. I will reopen tomorrow at 1pm.

As always, Disney's Animal Kingdom was amazing and we were able to experience all of the attractions, which leads me to my next thought! I am asked all the time about FastPasses and if/when they will be returning. I don't have the answer for that, but this is what I can tell you....it's honestly better NOT having FastPass. Seriously, this makes the lines move so much quicker! This is our second visit since the reopening and the capacity is much larger now than it was in October, yet the wait times haven't changed much. My hope is that if/when Disney does bring back some version of FastPass, that it's a different system. Well, we're off to the Magic Kingdom. Have a magical day folks!

Another fun day had by all at the Magic Kingdom followed by a delicious dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe! Today will be filled with many adventures at Disney's Animal Kingdom 😁 Have a magical day!

**Facebook is being very uncooperative and not allowing me to post pictures 😒

Good morning World Showcase Travelers! We had a blast at Disney's Hollywood Studios yesterday! The crowds were definitely heavier than they were at Epcot, but we still managed to get on all of the attractions no problem 😊 The best part was seeing my family's reactions to Star Wars Galaxy's Edge as this was all new for them! Today we're spending the day in the Magic Kingdom, hoping that we can it to watch the fireworks đŸ€ž Have a magical day everyone!

Good morning World Showcase Travelers! I apologize for not posting any pictures yesterday. We had a very early flight to Orlando, (5:15 am 😬), so I didn't bother going to bed the night before. I pushed through and we had an amazing time in Epcot, but I was exhausted and didn't even think about taking any pictures đŸ€Šâ€â™€ïž We were able to walk right on to most attractions, which was fantastic! The longest lines that I saw was for Test Track and Frozen. We had dinner at Teppan Edo in "Japan", and then came back to the resort to relax. Today we are heading to Hollywood Studios and I was able to score boarding passes for Rise of the Resistance!! Have a magical day everyone!

Good morning World Showcase Travelers! I wanted to give you the heads-up that I am leaving for vacation tomorrow morning 😊 We are heading to Walt Disney World!! I will have call forwarding for emergencies. I will also have access to email and messenger, though I may not be as quick to respond. As always, I will be sharing our experience with all of you 😁 Have a magical day!

The Holiday Season Returns to the Walt Disney World Resort!

The holidays are a favorite time of year, and we’re so happy to be celebrating Halfway to the Holidays today! Because today it’s official – the merry season will begin Nov. 12 at Walt Disney World Resort during “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” marking the resort’s 50th anniversary.

Festive entertainment, whimsical décor, seasonal food and drinks, and holiday-themed merchandise will all be a part of this very special season at our theme parks, Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs.

Here’s a sneak peek of some of the magical experiences you can expect this season at Walt Disney World Resort:

Magic Kingdom Park

Holidays are sure to be enchanting at Magic Kingdom Park, where quintessential decorations will return to Main Street, U.S.A. When the sun sets, special holiday projections will appear most nights on Cinderella Castle, alternating periodically with the castle’s transformation into a Beacon of Magic.* What a great way to celebrate the holidays and the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort!

Now, talk about an early holiday gift
“Disney Very Merriest After Hours,” a new special-ticketed event, will debut Nov. 8 before all the rest of the festive fun. It will be available on select nights through Dec. 21. The four hours of festivities will delight guests with “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks,” Disney characters throughout the park, holiday music and dĂ©cor, treats included and so much more! As with other Disney After Hours events, a limited number of tickets will be sold for this event. It’s held after regular park operating hours, with lower wait times and access to more than 20 select attractions.

Tickets will go on sale next month, with an early purchase window available to guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Sunset Seasons Greetings returns to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, as the Hollywood Holiday Tower Hotel on Sunset Boulevard will twinkle once again with projection effects, magically transforming into a snowy corner of Arendelle, a Muppets gingerbread masterpiece, a Toy Story toy hotel, and a Dickensian village inspired by “Mickey’s Christmas Carol.” This holiday show will also alternate with the tower’s nightly transformation into a Beacon of Magic.

Santa Claus will bring some North Pole cheer to a motorcade down Hollywood Boulevard. Guests will also be able to enjoy “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration,” with its festive finale featuring everyone’s favorite snowman, Olaf. Minnie Mouse is also returning to host her festive meal at Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Minnie and her friends will be donning their holiday best – even Santa Goofy will be there! And throughout the season, vintage-themed holiday dĂ©cor will shine bright across the park.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park

It will be a wild holiday time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park with the return of seasonal dĂ©cor and festive Disney character flotillas sailing down Discovery River to the sounds of joyful songs of the season. The park’s centerpiece – The Tree of Life – becomes another Beacon of Magic most nights during the 50th anniversary celebration. During the holiday season there’s even more magic inspired by nature as the holiday edition of Tree of Life Awakenings also take place most nights.

Disney Springs

You can happily discover whatever you’re after this holiday season at Disney Springs. The shopping, dining and entertainment destination will transform into a winter wonderland, full of sparkling lights, enchanting dĂ©cor and holiday surprises. This year sees the return of the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll, with elaborately decorated, Disney-themed trees – some new and some inspired by “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.”

A magical snowfall will add a touch of wonder for holiday shoppers in Town Center.

Here, Guests can find the perfect gift for everyone on your list, including yourself. Discover holiday ornaments, matching family pajamas, festive Spirit Jerseys, and more – Guests should be sure to check their list twice so they don’t forget any holiday must-haves! There will even be themed food and beverages; one of my favorite spots, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, will once again transform into Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar, with delightful dĂ©cor and a delicious limited-time menu filled with festive favorites.

Disney Resort Hotels

Our Disney Resort hotels will be decked for the holidays, with iconic trees and other seasonal touches. And a Guest favorite will return this year, as select gingerbread displays will once again be part of our holiday season! Also at select resorts, Guests will find restaurants offering holiday menus and specialty food and drink.

EPCOT

Where can Guests enjoy traditions from around the world, with inspiring music, tasty treats and family-friendly experiences? If you guessed EPCOT
you are correct! The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will return this year, from Nov. 26 – Dec. 30, with Holiday Kitchens around the park, performances by Voices of Liberty, the Guest favorite Cookie Stroll and more!

We’ll have so much more Walt Disney World Resort holiday fun to share with you in the months to come. In the meantime, be sure to be on Santa’s nice list and stay tuned for all of our holiday news!

*Beacons of Magic will be available nightly at select theme parks.
