First opened in 1857, you can enjoy fine dining in the oldest, continuously operated restaurant west of the Mississippi River. Grinter Place State Historic Site is an interesting and beautiful stop along the Frontier Military Historic Byway. Once a trading post for early settlers, this stop houses years of local and national history. It is especially stunning this time of year when all the flowers are starting to bloom.
