Now that the 2025 season has started that means the 2026 season is now open for booking - sort of. I always give existing renters the right of first refusal on the next years’ week and they have until the Monday following the end of their vacation to recommit. If they don’t reserve for the following year, that week opens up to booking for anyone at that point. If you have a specific week you would like to book, please reach out as we get closer to that date and I’ll keep you updated on the booking status.

It’s that time of year- getting ready for the rental season. Cleaning windows, wiping baseboards, updating supplies, paint and more paint, new lightbulbs and maintenance. Oh and battery replacement in everything - I’m up to 32 batteries today!

Surf City beach renourishment continues. Saw a boat pulling the flexible piping at sea (returning with no pipe). The dredge is right behind the cottage and is as loud as you think it would be!

UPDATE TONIGHT'S LAUNCH IS SCRUBBED DUE TO HYDRAULIC ISSUE. NO LAUNCH TONIGHT WED 3-12

Look up! The International Space Station will flyover tonight (Tue 3-11) around 837 to 842pm.

Tomorrow (Wed 3-12) , we should be able to see a rocket launch around 750-8pm.

We’ve had some booking activity over the past few weeks so here is an updated list of our available open dates: May 10 - May 17, August 9 - August 16, August 23 - August 30, September 6 - September 27, and October 4 - October 11. For dates in May, September and October, there is a 5 day minimum booking.
