Mixed emotions as I watch my 2015 Ranger 621FS leave behind a different truck and how sharp the boat still looks.

Very happy it is going to a great new home with an energized young angler with many future great days on the water.

Sad that I’m closing another chapter in my life and thankful for the many memories the boat was apart of.

I feel the same for my Ranger boats as my bird dogs. Knowing that I will only have a very select few and that they allow me to enjoy my passions and share precious memories with friends and family.

And a feeling of excitement to pick up my new Ranger 2080MS in a couple of days, but knowing a ton of rigging work ahead.

Fishing on Lake Vermilion has been a bit of a struggle this spring, now early summer. We r putting some nice fish in the boat, but quality eaters have been hard to come by. I had 2 great groups of our Houseboat guests from Quebec this week. I’m booked for the week and weekend of the 4th, but have openings starting the week of July 8th!

Had a GREAT morning on the water with the Androli family! Talia caught her first walleye all by herself with sandwich in one hand and rod on the other! Her smile is priceless. The bite is off right now, but should heat up with the stable weather forecasted for this week!

Opener 2019 Report! Andy, Drew, & Riley joined me in the boat for a great start to the season. Riley caught is first Pike and we put 8 eyes in the box with a bonus crappie & perch! Thanks for a great day on the water guys and Happy Birthday Andy!

Ice Update! Ice has blow off of Big Bay! Still some scattered pockets of ice, but Big Bay is ice free. I’m calling 4/30 ice out for 2019!
