🌴 Our Last Day in Antigua 🇦🇬☀️

And just like that… it’s time to say goodbye. 😭

We started our last morning with a delicious breakfast at Mario’s before packing up and checking out. But thankfully, checkout didn’t mean our vacation was over! We spent the morning enjoying the pool, grabbed one last lunch, and then headed to the departure lounge to shower and freshen up before our flight. And Of course, we had to make one last stop at Café de Paris for a snack before heading home. 😂🍦

Five days in Antigua gave us a little bit of everything — stunning turquoise water and beautiful beaches, incredible food, snorkeling and sailing, pool and beach activities, exploring St. John’s, live music, beach parties and plenty of time to simply relax. 🌊☀️

But what really stood out was the feeling of Antigua. The people were genuinely warm and welcoming, the island is beautiful, and Sandals gave us the perfect mix of relaxation, adventure and fun.

If Antigua isn’t already on your Caribbean list, I think it’s time to add it. ❤️🇦🇬

Day 4 at Sandals Antigua 🌴☀️🌊

Our last full day in Antigua… and we definitely weren’t going to waste a minute of it! ❤️

We started the morning at Mario’s, which is currently serving the Eleanor’s à la carte breakfast menu, and WOW… let’s just say we really missed out the first two mornings! We started with the bagel and lox and a smoothie bowl, THEN the steak and eggs and the lobster and shrimp omelet. Everything was absolutely delicious! Definitely had us wondering why we hadn’t done this sooner. 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

After breakfast, we headed straight for the beach. The water was that gorgeous Caribbean blue, the sun was shining, and we had absolutely nowhere we needed to be. I settled in with my book for a while, soaking up the sun and enjoying the view.

But eventually, sitting still became too difficult. 😂 So we hopped on a Hobie Cat and headed out onto the water, then signed up to go snorkeling and explored beneath the surface for a bit. After that, we decided to walk the beach and see just how far we could go. 🌊🤿⛵️

By lunchtime, we had definitely worked up an appetite, so we stopped at Barefoot for lunch right on the beach. The quesadilla was SO good, and honestly, I don’t think food tastes quite as good as it does when you’re sitting steps from the Caribbean with your toes in the sand. 🌮🌴

Then we headed over to the main pool to join in on the afternoon fun. There was trivia, a DJ, and a co****le tournament happening, so we grabbed a float and hung out for a while before it was time for beach volleyball. 🏐

By the time volleyball was over, we were ready for a little downtime. We headed back to the room, ordered some snacks from room service, and relaxed while getting ready for our late dinner at Eleanor’s. ✨🍽️

And, of course, no night at Sandals Antigua would be complete without one final stop at Café de Paris for ice cream. 🍦❤️

Looking back, this was one of those vacation days that had a little bit of everything — a delicious breakfast, a beautiful beach, time on the water, snorkeling, exploring, great food, poolside entertainment, volleyball, and, of course, a final stop for ice cream.

And somehow, tomorrow we have to leave. 😭

I’m officially at the point where I’m trying to slow everything down and soak up every last bit of Antigua. 🌴❤️

Day 3 at Sandals Antigua 🌴🇦🇬

Today we decided to get off the resort and see a little more of Antigua! ❤️

We headed into St. John’s, Antigua’s colorful capital, and spent some time exploring the shops around Heritage Quay before wandering through the local market and craft stalls. I love getting out and seeing a little bit of the destination beyond the resort especially when you can find local artwork, handmade crafts and souvenirs that actually feel like a piece of the island. 🇦🇬🛍️

Then it was back to Sandals for a quick lunch at the buffet before heading straight for the beach. 🌊☀️ We spent a few hours soaking up the sun and enjoying that beautiful Dickenson Bay water before joining in on some pool volleyball. Because apparently we needed to work off all the food we’ve been eating! 😂

And speaking of food…

Tonight we had dinner at OK Corral, Sandals’ Southwestern/Tex-Mex spot overlooking Dickenson Bay. We started with the queso dip and ribs, then went all in with the surf & turf and chicken fajitas. 🌮🥩🦐

But there was NO WAY we were letting this night go by without one more stop at Soy. 🍣

Since tomorrow they are closed and we leave the following day, we knew tonight was our last chance so we obviously had to go back for a couple more rolls. 😂🍣❤️

After dinner, we took a stroll around the resort then decided to head to the hot tub right outside our room.

Then to end the night We grabbed some ice cream at Cafe Paris and took one last stroll around the resort before headed back to the room, and spent the rest of the evening relaxing and enjoying our little piece of paradise. ❤️🌴

Tomorrow is our last full day… and I’m definitely not ready for it to be over. 🌴

Day 2 at Sandals Antigua 🌴

Day two started exactly how a vacation day should… we slept in! 🙌🏼

After a slow morning, we headed out for a tour of the resort and got to see all of the different room categories. And let me just say… I already know which room I’m picking next time! 👀😍 There are some really beautiful options here, and seeing them all in person definitely helped me figure out my favorite.

After our tour, it was time to officially switch into vacation mode. We spent the rest of the day laying on the beach, floating around in the water, and doing absolutely nothing productive. And honestly? It was perfect. 🌊☀️🍹

Then it was time for Dinner #1 at Soy… and WOW. 🍣

I think this may have been the best sushi I’ve ever had! 🤤 It was even a little better than the sushi we had at Beaches Turks & Caicos a couple months ago. And since we were just in Turks, I really appreciated that Soy had a completely different menu. It made it feel like a totally new experience instead of repeating the same meal.

But the night was FAR from over…

Sandals had a huge beach party tonight, complete with a carving station, jerk chicken skewers, TONS of desserts, live entertainment, a steel drum band, a DJ dance party and even fire dancers! 🔥🌴🎶

There was music, dancing, food and drinks all happening right on the beach. It was one of those nights where you just look around and think, yep… this is exactly why we travel. ❤️

And because apparently one dinner wasn’t enough… 😂 it was time for Dinner #2 at The Drunken Duck, an English pub-style restaurant.

We may have been completely stuffed at this point, but those Buffalo wings were SO good that I’m very glad we made the second stop. 😂🍗

Day two was basically the perfect combination of sleeping in, resort touring, beach time, incredible food and a beach party under the stars.

And I’m definitely not complaining about any of it. 😍🌴❤️

Day One at Sandals Antigua 🌴💙

Day one at Sandals Antigua and I can already tell this is going to be a good one!

It was a LONG travel day, but the second we arrived, the warm island air, swaying palms, and sparkling blue water made every minute of the journey worth it. Antigua is absolutely beautiful, the people are AMAZING, our room is gorgeous, and the views from Dickinson bay Beach are seriously breathtaking. 🌊

After such a long day of traveling, we decided to slow things down and ease into vacation mode. We grabbed a quick lunch at Courtyard Bistro, then spent the rest of the afternoon soaking up the resort atmosphere, enjoying the scenery, and taking it all in before heading to Barefoot for dinner.

And dinner did NOT disappoint! 🤤 We started with the Escargots à la Bourguignonne and Soupe à l’Oignon, then had:

🥩 Filet de Boeuf au Bordelaise — prime beef tenderloin with butter fondant potatoes, charred asparagus and a rich red wine Bordelaise sauce.

🍖 Souris d’Agneau — slow-braised lamb shank with white bean cassoulet polenta and an herb cracker.

And of course, we had to finish with Crème Brûlée. 😋

You would think that would be enough food for one night… but NOPE. 😂 With full bellies and absolutely no self-control, we stopped at Café Paris before heading to bed for a banana & Nutella crêpe, strawberry sorbet AND coconut ice cream. 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

So far, Sandals Antigua is off to a pretty amazing start. ❤️🌴
