🌴⚓ BIG changes are officially coming to Blind Pass Marina in St. Pete Beach 👀
The city has officially approved the redevelopment plans for the longtime marina property that was heavily damaged after the hurricanes. The project is being led by the same group behind Armature Works in Tampa and the vision is a massive waterfront transformation for Blind Pass. 🍹🎶⚓
Plans currently include:
• A rebuilt marina
• Waterfront restaurant space
• Entertainment and live music areas
• Updated docks and larger boat slips
• A completely refreshed waterfront experience
Honestly… it’s great seeing investment and life being brought back into some of these storm damaged properties around St. Pete Beach. A lot of people have been waiting to see what would happen with this location after everything it went through. 🙌
It also gives people even MORE options when they come to St. Pete Beach and Treasure Island for vacation and honestly, this is exactly the kind of stuff we need. More waterfront destinations, more things to do, more places for visitors and locals to enjoy, and more energy being brought back to the beaches after the storms. 🌴☀️
BUT… the project is not fully finalized yet 👀
The marina redevelopment still has to go through additional approvals with Pinellas County and Southwest Florida Water Management District permitting before construction can fully move forward. 🌊
And not everyone is fully on board just yet either…
Some residents have already raised concerns about:
🚗 Increased traffic around Blind Pass
🎶 Noise and live music impacts
🅿️ Parking and congestion
🌴 Whether the area could become “too commercialized”
So now the big question becomes…
Will this become an awesome new waterfront destination for locals and visitors… or are the concerns valid for nearby residents? 🤔
Either way, Blind Pass is definitely about to look very different over the next few years. ⚓🌅
