We can’t stop talking about the Youth Bass Fishing tournament!!

We shared the results, but these photos deserved their own post. It was great seeing so many young anglers out on the water, spending time with family and friends, and making memories that will last a lifetime.

From the early morning launch to the final weigh-in, the day was filled with excitement, laughter, and plenty of fish stories. Seeing the passion these kids have for fishing reminds us why we love hosting events like this.

Thank you again to everyone who participated, volunteered, sponsored, and supported the tournament. We are proud to be a part of growing the next generation of anglers and can’t wait to see everyone back on the water again soon!

Eeeeekkkkk!! Who's ready for Santa Fe Trail Days?!

Seriously, we can't wait for this year's festival. We've got a Drone Show, a Comedy Hypnotist, live music, and a whole lineup of entertainment that you can enjoy for FREE all weekend long.

Don't forget to check out all the vendors while you're there! We have people coming from all over, and you never know what you'll find. Grab a snack, do a little shopping, and treat yourself to something fun, you've earned it ;)

And if you're planning on spending some time at the carnival, do yourself a favor and grab a presale wristband for just $25 at City Hall before the festival. Your wallet will thank you later!

It's shaping up to be an awesome weekend, and we hope to see the whole community out there having a great time.

There’s nothing quite like a summer evening at the lake.

This weekend, we invite you to join us for a couple of great programs at Trinidad Lake State Park!

•Friday at 7:00 PM – Pull up a seat around the campfire and spend the evening with one of our park rangers. Bring your questions, enjoy some stories, and relax under the stars.

•Saturday at 7:00 PM – Join Master Angler Jim Muzzulin for a conversation about fishing during drought conditions, tips for protecting our fishery, and how we can all help keep our waters healthy during Colorado’s Free Fishing Weekend.

Whether you’re a regular at the lake or just looking for a reason to get outside, we’d love to have you join us. These programs are free, family-friendly, and a great way to spend an evening in the park.

What an incredible day on the water!

The City of Trinidad Youth Team Bass Tournament wrapped up with some impressive catches and outstanding sportsmanship from all of our young anglers!

Top 3 Teams
*Hunter Langan & Peyton Gizzi – 15.70 lbs
*Sean Egan & Noah Meza – 14.20 lbs
*Tucker White & Nikolaus Martinez – 14.10 lbs

•Big Bass Award
*Hunter Langan & Peyton Gizzi hauled in the tournament’s biggest bass at 4.80 lbs!

We are incredibly proud to have hosted this tournament and all of the tournaments we’ve welcomed to Trinidad Lake State Park so far. Seeing young anglers develop their skills, make memories, and enjoy the outdoors is what it’s all about. A huge thank you to the participants, boat captains, families, volunteers, and everyone who helped make this event a success.

Congratulations to all of our anglers, and we can’t wait to see everyone back on the water next year!
