We had some fish that really wanted small flies this week. Client burned through the last of my 24s breaking off a few big fish. I went back to the vice for more 24s, and while I was at it, said screw it, tested my fingers and eyesight without magnification and made 28s and 30s.

Looking for a home for a cute puppy. Cattle dog and Sh*tzu mix born May 12th. Photo is from today. Shes maybe 15 pounds atm. Probably going to be double that or more by the time she’s done growing. She’s a good listener, very smart and fairly potty trained.(like 80-90% there, but she’s still young) She likes to fetch, knows how to sit. Still getting trained. We’re having some issues with her getting too excited too often around our chickens. She’s great with kids and loves to play. Her names Mable.

Warm weather has the carpenter ants going off and the antelope bitter brush blooming heavy, making things smell like honey along the trails. I have a couple dates that opened up this week, it should be a killer time to be on the water. Let me know if you want to try and get a giant on a dry with this amazing weather.

We had some really nice trips the last few weeks. Here’s a lovely trip I did for We have some amazing fisheries here in the Truckee region. Tonight is Fishmas Eve at the Blue Coyote at 7pm. Come on by and show your support for and fight the good fight for our rivers!

2025 was an amazing season with lots of wild,beautiful fish up in the mountains! A lot of my upcoming summer dates are booking up now. If you want a peak date like May, June or July, try to get on the books soon, it’s gonna be great with all the water we’ve had the last few years! In other news, rivers been doing good with solid winter access from the mild weather we've had. Nows not a bad time to get after it if you craving time on the water. Let's go fish!
