A little break in the storms with some sunshine today. Definitely needed to give our backs a rest from shoveling before the next round comes in. If you are headed out today, bring your patience, blue bird days bring a lot of ski traffic. Stay safe and warm.

We don’t make traffic problems… just happy little chain controls..

❄️ Today’s masterpiece: I-80 is OPEN in both directions with R-2 chain restrictions from the Nevada State Line to Colfax. Trucks are at maximum restrictions.

Let’s make good decisions so we don’t add “happy little crashes” to the canvas. Slow it down and give yourself space!

It's coming down... still/again... we've gotten a lot of snow, make sure you keep your decks shoveled and probably going to need to shovel roofs soon too. Stay warm and safe out there.

February 17, 2026 7:30 AM I 80 is closed in both directions for Big Rigs and to all traffic westbound at stateline due to spin out heavy snow and zero visibility. 80 at Alta eastbound. 80 @ Stateline westbound.
This is the reason we live here…..Is it because we want to or because we can’t leave????
