Discover DeKalb was established in 1984 as a non-membership bureau funded by the hotel/motel tax. Our mission is to promote DeKalb as a destination across the Southeast & implement programs to attract leisure travelers. DeKalb is located just six miles east of downtown Atlanta and features Georgia’s Best Festivals and Attractions. We offer over 75 hotels, major attractions, fabulous shopping and a

n incredible selection of international restaurants. DeKalb is only ten miles from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and is easily accessible by I-20, I-75, I-85, I-285 and MARTA, Atlanta’s rapid transit system.
