The ride to Alto is beautiful & incredibly different from any other day at Arizona Gravel. The route travels north into the foothills of the Santa Rita Mountains & brings you to the historical townsite of Alto, AZ - now a registered ghost town with ruins of the original post office.

We typically rally out to Alto on day 3 to keep some miles in the legs for day 4 & the grand finale of climbing through the Canelo Hills or the Patagonia Mountains.

November is an incredible time of year to visit Patagonia, Arizona. Short or long sleeves, seasonal dishes, sun kissed days in the SRV. It’s your chance to tune out for a week & enjoy the quiet of the outdoors on your bike and around the table.

A favorite day at Arizona Gravel is the Ride to Taco’s route. 50 miles through the Patagonia Mountains to our favorite little taco joint, Cocina La Ley in Nogales, Arizona.

Lots of dirt, beautiful climbs, pass by the historical Santo Nino Ranch & ride over Duquesne Pass before topping it all off with fresh ceviche & great tacos.

Your arrival to a gravel experience means so much to our small guide team. You’ve chosen to spend your cherished vacation time with us & we couldn’t be more excited to get the trip rolling in style.

Upon arrival you’ll drop your bike with our mechanic team to be built up or tuned for the week. We’ll get you settled into your room & then we’ll gather for our first lunch together before catching an afternoon 20-30 mile shake out spin.

Arrival day is the beginning of your trip, and we do everything we can to make it smooth, taste great, and get your body ready for the miles ahead. ⚡️✌️🍻

Your gravel experience is different at each of our destinations. Our guides assess the group on day 1 & we plan mileage and riding groups specifically for the remainder of the trip, leaving plenty of room for you to test yourself and explore your physical fitness during the week.

Depending on the group size, location terrain and group desires, we roll with it throughout the week balancing mileage, adventure, and time relaxing at home base.

Mendocino Gravel is next, July 5-9, 2025. ⚡️
