The application window for Travel Southern Oregon's 2026/2027 Strategic Investments closes on August 28, 2026. Award notifications are expected in mid-September.

This year's investments will prioritize: accessibility projects, niche and off-season marketing initiatives, visitor-facing outdoor recreation projects, dark sky tourism product development, and destination stewardship efforts.

When camping on BLM public lands, sometimes it's nice to wake up and wave hi to the neighbors 👋

Our photographer pitched his tent in our Soda Mountain Wilderness, an ecological mosaic where Oregon's eastern desert meets towering fir forests.

But he made sure to face Mt. Shasta (cared for by our friends at U.S. Forest Service - Shasta-Trinity National Forest) for that beautiful early morning view!
