If you work with me you already are aware. But for those that haven’t, please take this seriously. I see it getting worse before better. I strongly recommend working with a travel agent 🙋🏻‍♀️ from this point forward. It’s our job to know how to handle these worse case scenarios.

The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority was notified at 1:25 p.m. by the Federal Aviation Administration that flights arriving and departing from Nashville International Airport® will be reduced beginning at 2:30 p.m. (CST) due to a shortage of air traffic controllers. This reduction will remain in effect until further notice. All airlines have been informed. Travelers should check the status of their flight with their airline before arriving at BNA. As a reminder, FAA has sole responsibility for the National Airspace System. For additional questions, please contact the FAA.

Today we honor Juneteenth 🖤 It’s a powerful reminder of freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of justice.
On June 19, 1865, over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas finally learned they were free. Juneteenth celebrates that moment and the strength of a people who endured unimaginable hardship to claim their rightful liberty.
It’s not just a day in history. It’s a call to remember, reflect, and recommit to equity and inclusion for all.

For my LGBTQ+ clients massive changes are coming that will affect your travels. to be clear, World on a String Travel will continue to advocate and create a safe space for the LGBTQ community. Everyone deserves to travel, no matter who you are.

Tuesday, January 28th I will be going live to discuss the changes and how travel will look for those in this community. Until then, here is what is happening:

On January 20th President Trump signed an executive order that claims there are only two s*xes: male and female.

This policy change reverses the previous administration's approach, which allowed U.S. citizens to select an 'X' gender marker on passports without requiring medical documentation. The new directive mandates that passports reflect an individual's s*x assigned at birth, eliminating non-binary or unspecified gender options.

The executive order has significant implications for transgender, non-binary, and inters*x individuals, affecting not only passport designations but also federal recognition in areas such as prison assignments and access to gender-affirming healthcare. Legal challenges to this order are anticipated, as advocacy groups argue that it may violate constitutional rights and anti-discrimination laws.
