🚢 **Thursday Travel Truth:** Accessibility at Sea: What Cruise Lines Don’t Tell You
Cruises can be one of the most accessible ways to travel.
But only if you know what to look for.
What most people see online is “accessible cabins available.” What they do not see are the details that actually impact your experience.
Here is the truth.
Not all “accessible” cabins are created equal.
Not all ships are easy to navigate.
Not all ports are accessible once you arrive.
Things like:
♿ Long walking distances across the ship
🚪 Door widths and bathroom layouts that vary more than you would expect
🛗 Elevator wait times, especially during peak hours
🌊 Tender ports where you may not be able to get off the ship at all
And if you have mobility concerns, chronic pain, or energy limitations, those details matter. A lot.
I speak about this from personal experience.
Travel should feel freeing, not exhausting or frustrating. And the difference comes down to planning with intention.
When I work with clients, I take the time to understand what you need, what matters to you, and how you move through the world. Then I help match you to the right ship, the right cabin, and the right itinerary.
Because accessibility is not just about checking a box. It is about creating an experience that actually works for you.
