💐Wondering why we named this very special place The River Retreat in Tunkhannock, PA?💐

We initially were thinking of calling it "The Eagle's Nest" because there are often eagles flying overhead.

However, we couldn't let the idea of it being a "retreat" out in nature go..

The word "retreat" just kept coming to us when we tried to name the place.

Once we looked up the definition, we just knew it had to be The River Retreat in Tunkhannock, PA! 🏡

Check out those windows! Truly, the views are incredible...from the front, you get enjoy looking at the mighty Susquehanna River and the view from the back of the house is the most gorgeous treelined yard!

Even though the view from the front of The River Retreat in Tunkhannock, PA, relaxing in the backyard is also pretty incredible! 🌳

We worked so hard to get this place up and running that we never made time to enjoy it ourselves so...we spent a day last week hiking Miller Mountain and then making s'mores at The River Retreat in Tunkhannock, PA.

It was so relaxing to enjoy this very special space along the Susquehanna River.

If you're the kind of person who wants to get away and unwind, this is the place for you!🌳

We had some really exciting feedback from a guest recently…

She said that they arrived at the property later in the evening after it was already dark so they had no idea what their view would be like in the morning.

She said that she couldn't believe how beautiful the view was when she woke up and went to the kitchen to make her morning coffee!🌳

That feedback filled us with such excitement because that is exactly the vision we had when we first saw this property and considered it.

At first glance, we knew it was perfectly situated overlooking the mighty Susquehanna River and... while it was in ROUGH shape when we first saw it, we saw the beauty and had the vision to clean it up and create something special for our future guests!

We feel very blessed to make The River Retreat in Tunkhannock, PA available to those who want to stay in our beautiful area. It would be an honor for us to host you, your family, friends, guests, employees, etc. visiting our very special northeastern Pennsylvania!💐
