This historic, 444-mile scenic parkway links Natchez with Nashville and crosses some of the most beautiful terrain in the states of Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee. Open year-round for motorists, hikers and bikers, it provides visitors the opportunity for an unhurried trip through time. Maintained and administered by the National Park Service, the Parkway commemorates the most significant highway of the Old Southwest.

📰 The northern terminus of the Trace got a well-deserved shoutout — Fast Food Club named Loveless Cafe Tennessee's pick in their roundup of 'America's Best Off-the-Beaten-Path Restaurants Worth the Detour in Every State.' The cafe has been making the South's best biscuits since 1951, and it sits just 150 yards from where the parkway begins outside Nashville. Make it your first stop. Or your last. Either way, save room. 💚

It's habitat for migratory birds, shelter for native plants, and a living corridor of land that millions of people share with the wildlife that called it home long before us.
