๐ŸŽ† There are a lot of ways to celebrate the Fourth of July in Colbert County this year, and this one is a little extra special.

America is celebrating its 250th birthday, and communities across the country are joining in the celebration, including right here at home.

Whether you're headed to Leighton for fireworks, Cherokee for a night on Main Street, or the Old Railroad Bridge for one of the best views around, there are plenty of opportunities to get out and celebrate with family and friends.

We rounded up a few of the local America250 events. Take a look and let us know where you'll be celebrating! โค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™

At first glance, $122 million is just a number.

But behind that number are people choosing to spend time in Colbert County. They're eating at local restaurants, staying in our hotels, shopping in our stores, attending festivals and concerts, and visiting attractions across the county.

The newly released Alabama Tourism Department Economic Impact Report shows visitors spent more than $122 million in Colbert County in 2025, marking another year of growth for our local tourism industry.

On our blog, we take a closer look at what those numbers mean for our communities, local businesses, and the people who live and work here.
