I’ve been pretty quiet on my business page. I retire from teaching in May and then I’ll dedicate most of my time to booking travel. Today I’m enjoying the beautiful sunshine at South Beach Miami. Tomorrow I will Embark on the Norwegian Joy for my annual conference. I will spend a lot of time in classes taking notes so that I can better help you plan your dream vacation!

So, many of you have been asking “Where are you off to NOW?!”
Many haven’t heard yet that Emanuel Preschool (where I have been teaching for 25 years) will be closing after this school year. I kind of saw this coming so decided to pursue my other passion, travel. I became a travel agent almost 3 years ago. I want to be the best agent I can be to help my clients so I enrolled in an intensive travel agent course online. It’s a great group of professionals, led by Cyndi Williams of Careers on Vacation. She has been a leader in travel for 31 years. She and her team are leading a conference this week on the Utopia of the Seas by Royal Caribbean. We get to learn so much about the amazing ship and learn so much from big names in this industry.
I have been on many trips this year and I have another one in February. Since I very seldom took time off work through the many years at Emanuel Preschool, the board so graciously allowed me to take these trips so that I can position myself for my next career. I’m so grateful to them and to Laurie Haugen Wollschlager for holding down the fort in my absence and for the parents who have volunteered to help.
For those of you who say “OMG! She is on another trip! How does she do it? I made up my mind 5 years ago that I was tired of looking at everyone else on Facebook going on vacations. Honestly, I cried at times thinking this could never happen for me. I saw my sister Linda hurting because she could no longer travel because of health reasons and decided I was going to do whatever it took to travel now when I was able. I taught online classes for four years every morning from 5:00am to 7am then would teach all day, come home and write reports, plan lessons go to bed and do it again. I have cleaned out houses to help people get ready for estate sales. I have rented out rooms in my home, I have helped people organize their homes. When you set your mind to something, and have faith in answered prayers, anything is possible!!!

Today we are on a tour driving from St John and we are driving to St Martin. (In Canada)
