🌲 Hello friends! I know we’ve been quiet for a while now but it is with a heavy heart that we announce the bittersweet news that we have sold our beloved . Over the past almost 4 years, this cozy cabin has been a sanctuary for us and many, fostering memories that will forever be etched in our hearts and hopefully yours as well. We hope and pray that we will soon be able to host guests again. In the meantime, we are literally buried in snow. We will update you as we hopefully make progress soon now that the snow has stopped and the sun is shining. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those in the community who have suffered damage, injuries, and even loss of life. At this point we could only hope there isn’t any damage to our home. We hope everyone including our neighbors are safe.

WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH LATE
MONDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. 1 to 3 inches possible between 3500-4500 feet, 3 to 7 inches possible between 4500-6000 feet, 7 to 10 inches possible between 6000-7000 feet, up to 12 inches possible above 7000 feet. Winds could gust as high as 60 mph.

* WHERE...San Bernardino County Mountains.

* WHEN...From Sunday morning through late Monday night.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Including on the I-15 through the Cajon Pass. Strong winds could cause tree damage.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels will start between 4500-5000 feet Sunday, dropping to 3500 feet by Monday morning. Light snow accumulations possible on the I-15 through the Cajon Pass.

Please drive safe everyone! If you are traveling to the San Bernardino Mountains this weekend, here are a few helpful tips:

1. Carry correctly size tire chains in your vehicle. Practice putting them on before you come up the mountain. Trust us on this one. You’ll thank us later.

2. Check updated weather and road conditions before traveling.

3. Bring warm clothing, i.e., snow jacket, boots, gloves, and beanie.

4. Keep some extra snacks and water in your car. Travel times may be longer than expected.

Welcome to Sugar’s Mountain Chalet! We are Bert and Diana Galvez, affectionately known to our friends and loved ones as “The Sugars.” Having a second home has been a life-long dream of ours and we’re grateful for the opportunity to share it with others!

This charming 1934 mountain cottage sits on a large level lot that offers a quiet park-like setting filled with mature trees including oak, cedar and many pines. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, as well as an office equipped with a desk for work space. The living room hosts a cozy stone fireplace, and flat screen TV. The enchanting patio and landscape includes a built-in outdoor kitchen entertainment area with sheds for ski, snowboard, and mountain bike storage. The space This 1934 mountain cottage has undergone a complete modernization and renovation within the last 2 years. Sitting on a gated lot and off of the main road, you will have total privacy. The kitchen, laundry room, living room, bedrooms, Wifi, cable TV and bathrooms, will give you all the conveniences and comfort of home while enjoying the slower pace of mountain living in the Twin Peaks/Lake Arrowhead area. Guest access You will have access to the entire home and one shed. Please bring your own lock for the shed. The one car garage and one rear storage shed will be locked and off limits.
