That’s right. Our brand-new splash pad is almost finished, and construction crews are moving so fast right now we’re pretty sure they’re drinking Monsters for breakfast and Red Bulls for lunch. If everything keeps going according to plan, we’re hoping to open no later than April Fools’ Day… and that’s no joke. (Frankly, the only fools will be the people who didn’t bring a towel.) But here’s the best part…The Tybee Tidal Zone isn’t just for hotel guests.

High tides this week!

Hwy 80 to Tybee is now temporarily closed folks… until tide falls. Yaw be safe out there! We however are open and selling bait and tackle now that there’s plenty of water 🌊 and the fish are “closer” 🤣 🎣

Each week we’ll check in on Westie’s latest travels and see what corners of the ocean she’s exploring. Since there’s no live tracker link, this will be your behind-the-scenes pass to follow her adventures!

It’s our first-ever sea turtle release with a satellite tracker, so we’re just as excited as you are to see where she swims next!

📍Without further ado, here is Westie's whereabouts for the last five days! The location data from the tracker is received by a satellite passing over Westie as she surfaces for a breath of air. Just so everyone is on the same page, Westie does come up to the surface of the water far more often then the data points shown, but these are the times that a satellite is over her at the exact moment of her surfacing! 🛰️
