Sometimes the best photos take a little patience 🎣☀️

I asked these awesome kids on Little Tybee Island if I could grab a photo of them casting their net, and their parents said yes. What I didn’t realize was that these two were determined to get the PERFECT cast before I left 😂 And honestly… it was worth the wait because that final throw was picture perfect! Even better, they caught some bait fish too 🐟

Little Tybee Island is one of those hidden gems along the Georgia coast that’s only accessible by boat. If you ever get the chance, look into one of the local day trip charters or boat tours and spend a day exploring the beaches, wildlife, and sunshine out there. It’s such a fun way to experience the river life of Southeast Georgia 🌊☀️

Each pass costs $25 per day and may be purchased for up to 7 consecutive days for a total of $175. The pass is good for a 24-hour period and passes must be valid for the date(s) you are parking. You may select the dates the pass is needed, up to 30 days in advance.

Savannah may have the famous St. Patrick’s Day parade, but let me tell you… Tybee knows how to celebrate too. ☘️🌊

On the island you can still enjoy all the St. Patrick’s fun… just with ocean breezes instead of long lines for beverages and a much easier parade experience.

No alarms set for 5 AM. In fact, Tybee pretty much says please don’t. 😄

The Tybee Island St. Patrick’s Parade is Saturday at 3 PM, which means you can sleep in, grab lunch by the beach, and then stroll over to the parade. That’s my kind of celebration.

🏖️ One of the things that makes my heart happy, year after year, is being able to offer shelter from the storm when people need it most. 💙

We’ve helped guests during tropical storms in the past, and this weekend we’re helping in a different way. A few ladies are escaping the cold up north and heading just far enough south to trade freeze warnings and ice storms for ocean air and beach walks. Honestly… solid life choice. ☀️🌊

Everyone stay safe wherever you are. And if you ever need a place to land, our doors are open… well, except for this weekend 😉
