🚨 Travel Advisory Update – February 2026 🌍
As your travel agent, my job isn’t just to book beautiful vacations — it’s to make sure you travel safely, informed, and protected.
Before planning your next trip, here are destinations currently under heightened travel advisories due to war, political instability, crime, or security concerns:
🔴 Level 4 – Do Not Travel
Ukraine – Ongoing war and security risks
Haiti – Widespread gang violence and instability
Afghanistan – Security threats and terrorism
Syria – Armed conflict
🟠 Level 3 – Reconsider Travel / Exercise Increased Caution
Jamaica – Elevated crime in certain areas
Colombia – Crime and civil unrest in some regions
Egypt – Terrorism concerns in specific areas
🇲🇽 Mexico – Regional Advisories (Mixed Levels)
Mexico is not under a blanket “Do Not Travel” advisory, but safety varies by state.
⚠️ Some states are currently Level 4 (Do Not Travel) due to crime and cartel-related violence.
⚠️ Others are Level 3 (Reconsider Travel).
✅ Popular tourist areas like Cancun and Riviera Maya are typically Level 2 (Exercise Increased Caution), but travelers should still monitor updates before departure.
Mexico remains one of the most visited destinations in the world — but where you go matters.
