Ukiah makes it easy to build a full weekend without repeating yourself.

Start at Lake Mendocino early. Calm water, open shoreline, trails that don’t feel packed. Then roll into town and go straight into tastings at Barra Wines and Testa Vineyards, Family-run, laid back, and worth slowing down for.

Downtown is stacked with small shops that actually pull you in. Not filler. Not chains. Places you remember. Then grab a table at Ukiah Brewing Company and let the day land there with a cold beer and solid food.

From there it only opens up more. Redwoods just outside town. Coast close enough for a day trip. Trails in every direction. And summer nights that cool off just enough to keep everything going.

If Ukiah hasn’t been on your radar, it should be.

🧑🏼‍🌾 The Kids’ Farmers Market is back at Alex Thomas Plaza every Wednesday this summer!

Now through August 6, every Wednesday from 10-12pm you can join the Kid’s Farmers Market! This is now a local tradition for 37 years! Hosted by Mendocino County Library, it’s an amazing showcase for all the young entrepreneurs to serve up their amazing fresh food, treats, crafts and more. The options are awesome!
