Hung this old sword blade up next to the garden gate when we were moving our stuff here. It brings me many memories.
One is of my good buddy Beau who I used to do live steel sword fighting with for the entertainment and education of others. We crafted many historical items together, built armor, repaired and smithed weapons including some blades I still own. I could see him saying the second quote to me with a smile while bashing his sword against his shield before charging the field.
It also reminds me of being very poor and homeless as a kid, sometimes with very little to eat. We would get some meals from a place in Ukiah called "Plowshares" that fed those in need, and where I learned the first quote below. I think about those days, and how important good food is every time I am working in my garden.
You can have swords AND plows for all I care. They are but simple tools.

My new shop space has ridiculous amounts of air flow!!! Bahahaha And I literally a mechanic under a shade tree. Whewww!!
Finally got some time to give the #501 some much needed love before getting to go for a nice ride tomorrow. Tire swap, oil swap, bar clamp swap. Still need some parts and to extract a broken bolt to get my damn kickstand back on. She's gonna need something to lean on for now. Hahaha

The freshest of veggies for our bellies... from the garden to our dinner. yum!!
We have a good amount of things going on right now, all the usuals and a little more. But we had little time to clean up more of the garden space for some of our other favorites to grow.
So much to do, and only so much sun light to do it in!! Haha

This weekend we got our trailer moved into it's intended location.. and hooked back up to water and the luxury of septic hooked up too!! Today's project is getting my solar panels up onto the garden shed roof, and wired up into the little power shed I built to hold some of 's spare electronics that keep our trailer's 12v system charged and supply some 120v "shore power" as well. Thanks to the for all the !!! PG&E can suck a fat one!!! Hahaha

Have not had time lately to ride as much as I normally do... but took some time today to ride around the ranch roads, follow a deer trail or two, and even a little free riding through the woods, with a stop by the creek of course.
